Programming DASS II Trunks

Before You Begin

Ensure that Interconnect Restriction and Intercept Handling is programmed for each trunk.

Programming

To program DASS II trunks:

1. Digital Link Descriptors form

• Enter "A" or "B" in the Address for Message Control field.

• Enter "DASSII" in the Integrated Digital Access field.

2. Digital Links form

• Enter the Digital Link Descriptor Number programmed in step 1.

3. Class of Service Options form

• Set the ANI/DNIS ISDN Number Delivery Trunk field to "Yes".

4. Trunk Circuit Descriptors - MSDN-DPNSS-DASS II form

• Select "Universal E1" or "CEPT" from the Card Type field.

• Enable "Outgoing" from the Dual Seizure Priority field.

• Far End Connection field is not applicable for DASS II

• Enable "DASS II" from the Signaling Protocol field.

5. Trunk Attributes form

• Enter the COS number programmed in step 3.

• Complete the Non-dial in Trunks Answer Point fields.

• Complete the Dial in Trunks: Incoming Digit Modification fields.

6. Digital Trunks form

• Complete the Trunk Number, Trunk Service Number (from step 5), Circuit Descriptor (from step 4), and Interconnect Number fields.

7. Network Synchronization form (optional)

• Assign a source connection to a Network Source Clock.
